Return & Refund Policy

1. General Return Policy & Restocking Fees

We accept returns for eligible items within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, items must be in their original, unopened packaging, unused, and in the same condition that you received them.

Restocking Fee: All returns due to customer preference (e.g., "changed my mind," "doesn't fit," "don't like the color") are subject to a 20% restocking fee. This fee covers the cost of inspection, repackaging, and administrative handling.

Non-Refundable Shipping: Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of original shipping and the return shipping label will be deducted from your refund.

2. Damage & Defect Claims (Mandatory Evidence)

We guarantee our products will arrive without manufacturing defects. If an item is damaged during transit:

Reporting Window: Damages must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Mandatory Evidence: You must provide high-resolution photos and/or video of the damaged item and the original packaging. Claims without visual evidence of both the product and the shipping box will be denied.

Resolution: Malane Decor reserves the right to provide a replacement part or a full replacement at no cost. Refunds for damaged items are only issued if a replacement is unavailable.

3. Product Variations & "Item Not as Described" (Legal Defense)

Many of our items are handcrafted or made from natural materials. By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree that:

Slight variations in color, texture, wood grain, or finish are natural characteristics and not grounds for a "defective" or "not as described" claim.

Color representation varies by screen settings and ambient lighting; these differences are not considered defects.

Measurements are provided with a +/- 1-inch margin of error.

4. Final Sale & Non-Returnable Items

The following items are strictly Final Sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded under any circumstances:

Custom-made or bespoke lighting/furniture fixtures.

Items valued over USD $2,000.

Items marked as "Clearance," "Final Sale," or purchased with a discount code of 30% or higher.

Light bulbs and consumables.

5. Chargeback & Dispute Agreement

By completing your purchase, you agree to contact Malane Decor Support at info@malanedecor.com to resolve any issues before contacting your bank or credit card provider to initiate a chargeback.

Administrative Fee: In the event of a chargeback filed for a reason that contradicts this policy (e.g., "Item not as described" for natural variations), Malane Decor reserves the right to provide this policy as evidence to the bank.

Abuse Policy: Filing a chargeback without first attempting a resolution through our support team may result in the permanent blacklisting of your account and address from our store.

6. Return Authorization (RMA)

No returns will be accepted without a prior Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Items sent back to us without an RMA or to the wrong address will be refused and are not eligible for a refund.
