Fumé Oro Chandelier

Fumé Oro — smoke grey outside, gold within. Every petal is a broad curved plate of textured glass, cool smoke-grey at the rim and along its outer face, warming to a deep amber where it faces the centre. They overlap in four tiers on a chrome frame, each row curling outward like leaves folding back.

The two-tone effect only resolves when the fixture is lit. Unlit, it is a restrained grey object — almost architectural, easy to place. Switched on, the inner faces catch the lamps and the whole core turns molten gold while the outer edges stay cool and smoky. One fixture, two completely different characters, depending on the time of day.

What sets it apart

• Grey outside, gold inside. The colour transition runs through each plate rather than being applied, so the fixture reads cool from across the room and warm from beneath.
• Hammered surface texture. Formed into the glass, giving every plate a beaten, irregular face that scatters the lamplight instead of mirroring it.
• Chrome frame. Cool polished metal that sits with the grey rather than fighting it, and disappears behind the glass when lit.

Choosing a size

Over a dining table, the 31.5" suits tables of roughly 60 to 78 inches and the 39.4" suits 84 inches and up, with the lowest glass 30 to 34 inches above the tabletop. The 23.6" is the supporting size — a round breakfast table, a bedroom, or a modest entry.

All three are unusually shallow for their width: even the largest is only 23.6 inches deep. That makes this one of the few metre-wide chandeliers that will hang properly in a room with ordinary ceilings rather than demanding a double-height space. The standard chain is 12 inches; contact us with your ceiling height and desired drop before ordering and we will supply the chain to match.

The two larger sizes carry a great deal of glass. Mount to a ceiling box rated for a chandelier of that size and fixed to structural framing or a proper brace, and have an electrician confirm the fixing before installation.

What sizes and prices are available?

Are the bulbs included?

Yes, on every size — 9, 12, or 18 bulbs ship with the fixture. On a chandelier with this many lamps that matters: sourcing a matched set of small-base bulbs separately is both expensive and fiddly, and any difference in colour temperature shows immediately across four tiers of glass.

What bulbs does it use if I replace them later?

E12 or E14 small screw base, LED or Edison filament. E12 is the candelabra base widely stocked in the United States; E14 is its European equivalent, and this fixture accepts either. Choose 2700K warm white — the amber core depends on warm light, and cool white kills it.

Why does it look grey in some photos and gold in others?

Because it genuinely is both. The petals are smoke grey on their outer faces and amber on the inner ones. Unlit, you mostly see grey; lit, the lamps catch the inner faces and the core glows gold. It is the same fixture in both photographs.

Is the colour painted onto the glass?

No. Both tones are in the glass itself, so the transition cannot fade, chip, or wear.

Is the texture etched on?

No. The hammered, irregular surface is formed into the glass, which is why each plate has depth and scatters light rather than reflecting it as a flat sheet.

Will a 39.4-inch chandelier fit a normal ceiling?

Yes, more easily than most fixtures that wide. At only 23.6 inches deep it is shallow for its diameter, so it needs floor area rather than ceiling height. Over a large dining table on a standard eight-foot ceiling it works well.

Is it dimmable?

It runs on a standard wall switch and has no built-in dimming, so it depends on the bulbs. Dimmable bulbs on a compatible wall dimmer will dim — and with 12 or 18 lamps behind amber glass, dimming is well worth doing.

How long is the chain?

30 cm / 12 inches as standard, and variable on request. Contact us with your ceiling height and the drop you want before ordering.

How do I clean it?

Dust each plate with a soft dry cloth or brush, supporting it as you work — the plates hang on hooks and will swing. Do not spray cleaner onto the fixture; dampen the cloth instead if more than dusting is needed.

Will it work outside the United States?

Yes. It accepts AC 110-240 V and carries certification compatible with North America, Europe, Australia, and Saudi Arabia, so it runs on either a 120 V or a 220-240 V supply.

Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It is rated for indoor use only.
